Recall of Kinder products made in Belgium
UPDATE – 9 April 2022
With immediate effect, the entire production of Kinder Surprise, Kinder Mini Eggs, Kinder Surprise Maxi 100g and Kinder Schokobons made in Arlon is being recalled.
Only Kinder products manufactured in Arlon, Belgium, are impacted by this recall.
Products impacted by the recall in Australia and New Zealand include:
- Kinder Easter Basket 120g (yellow foil wrapper)
- Kinder Mini Eggs Hazelnut (all pack sizes)
- Kinder Surprise Maxi 100g (Miraculous)
- Kinder Surprise Maxi 100g (Natoons)
- Kinder Surprise Xmas Maxi 100g (Disney Frozen 2021)
- Kinder Surprise Xmas Maxi 100g (2021)
- Kinder Maxi Xmas Mix with Plush 133g (2021)
- Kinder Xmas Happy Moments Ballotin 190g (2021)
- Christmas seasonal lines are now past or nearing their best before. These products are no longer available for sale but may be in households.

We are co-operating with the NSW Food Authority on a link to a number of reported cases of salmonella in other markets. We are taking this extremely seriously as consumer care is our top priority.
As a precaution, we have taken the decision to recall the following selected seasonal products manufactured in Belgium:
Australia
- Kinder Surprise Easter Basket (yellow foil wrapper) with Best Before Dates between 7 October and 20 November 2022.
- Kinder Mini Eggs Hazelnut 100g and Kinder Surprise Maxi 100g products with Best Before Dates between 23 August 2022 and 13 September 2022.
New Zealand
- Kinder Surprise Maxi 100g products with Best Before Dates between 23 August 2022 and 13 September 2022.

The Kinder Surprise 20g eggs sold by Ferrero Australia are manufactured in Italy and are not affected. No other Kinder products are affected by this recall.
