Kinder Joy of Moving and the Girl Scouts
The partnership between Kinder Joy of Moving and the Girl Scouts of Greater Chicago and Northwest Indiana is dedicated to celebrating and strengthening communities across the Greater Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana areas. By bringing together Girl Scouts, their families, friends, and children from communities with little to no history of Girl Scouting, the initiative offers a fun and immersive day in nature. The Family Fun Run event took place at one of the beautiful Girl Scout camp properties, fostering connection and outdoor enjoyment for all.
This event encourages participants to embrace the great outdoors, cultivate a spirit of adventure and camaraderie while promoting joy, fun, and fitness in our lives.
Through engaging activities and shared experiences, we foster connections among attendees, inspiring a lifelong appreciation for physical activity.
The first annual Fun Run took place on August 3rd, 2024 at Camp Palos, in Palos Park, IL. The event featured a DJ, different game stations with activities including Kinder Joy of moving games, face painting, a s’mores station, a giant blow up slide among many others. Girl Scouts and their families, along with children and families from other communities, joined Ferrero employees for a day focused on movement and fun. Plans are already underway for the 2025 event.
