Humectant

Humectants are widely used in the food industry to help maintain the desired product consistency over time.

Ingredient

Glycerol is a compound naturally contained in triglycerides, which are the building blocks of oils and fats. In the food industry it can perform many functions and can be used both as an ingredient and as an additive in different product categories like candies, syrups, snacks and dietary products. 
We use glycerol in Kinder Delice as a humectant, to minimize the exchange of humidity between its different components and help maintain the ideal product texture over time.
